Ong hangs with the Muses

When trying to memorize Ong's 9 characteristics of orally based thought I found it easier to attach them to the 9 muses.

1) When walking to my house I see Calliope writing her epic poetry and she is saying "and then this happened, and then this, and then this..." (Additive rather than subordinate).  

2) In the living room is The Mighty Clio watching the history channel (Aggregative rather than analytical).

3) Also in the living room is Urania drawing a Copious amount of stars on the wall.

4) In the bedroom is Erato laying on the bed reading the Kama Sutra (a Traditional book). 

5) In the bathroom is Euterpe singing/practicing her rap battles in the shower (Agonistically toned).  

6) Also in the bathroom is Terpsichore dancing in front of the mirror and she looks like an alien but is still Close to the Human Life World.  

7) Moving to the back room is Thalia  asking Melpomine to Participate in a play  

8) and Melpomine is being very focused and Homeostatic.  

9) Last is Polyhymnia sitting out back writing her hymns about the Situations around her.
